Diddy is looking for pure fun. Bad Boy's CEO has cleared the whole thing Instagram account, which included an apology to Cassie after the disturbing video leaked of him abusing his ex in a Los Angeles hotel.
The mogul's 20 million followers noticed that Diddy had deleted all posts from his account earlier this week without comment. While some took a dig at Diddy, others claimed that this was not uncharacteristic behavior from the CEO in terms of his social media activity
“For years, maybe, decades, Mr. Diddy has changed his Instagram, Twitter,…,… It's nothing new for him to remove, publicly viewable, posts… False True Sorry,” one person wrote on X.
Lost in the Instagram purge is the aforementioned apology video in which Diddy admitted he was “disgusted” with his behavior. “It's so hard to reflect on the darkest moments in your life, but sometimes you have to,” Diddy said. “I was upset. I mean, I hit rock bottom. But I find no excuses. My behavior in this video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in this video. loathe. I was disgusted when I did it, I am disgusted now.”
Cassie accused Diddy of rape, sexual assault and more in an extensive lawsuit in November. The two parties will settle the dispute in less than 24 hours, and the terms were not disclosed. CNN shared a March 2016 video last month that saw Diddy physically abuse Cassie outside a hotel elevator bank in Los Angeles and drag her downstairs.
After the backlash from the leaked footage and the myriad sexual harassment lawsuits that piled up on Diddy's office, New York City Mayor Adams asked the decorated music executive to return the key to New York that had been awarded to him. It is the first time an honoree has been asked to return the key.
