Snoop Dogg wore a patriotic pair Nike Pegasus 41 Trainers to run a 200-meter race at the 2024 Olympic Team Trials in Oregon over the weekend. Uncle Snoop took to the track in a red, white and blue colorway of the Pegasus 41, the newest version of Nike's Pegasus line.
The colorway worn by Snoop is available at the Team USATF store and is expected to be available at Nike soon.
If you are interested in other colors, the Pegasus 41 is available in white and several colors such as blue/black/red and white/dusty cactus/glacier blue/black. Some of the upcoming colors include black, black/red/white and white/pure platinum/black.
The Pegasus 41 features full-length ReactX foam, which provides over 13 percent more “energy return” compared to the React foam used in the Pegasus 40, according to Nike. The eco-friendly upgrade reduces the carbon footprint of two midsoles by 43%, Nike says.
The shoe also features Nike Air Zoom units in the heel and forefoot, as well as a mesh upper that's lighter and more breathable than its predecessor.
Nike first released the Pegasus in 1982 and sold over 300,000 pairs the following year. While the new styles have evolved away from the original waffle outsole and new foam design, the Pegasus remains a fan favorite.
The Pegasus 41 has a 4.8 star rating on Nike.com and most customers love how comfortable it is for running and walking.
Nike is sponsoring several teams in the Summer Olympics, and Snoop Dogg is heading to Paris next month as a co-commentator for NBC.
