Tetris Kelly:
It was definitely Ladies' Night at the BET Awards, as the girls also recognized the icon that is Usher. We're taking a look back at everything you're missing at the 2024 BET Awards. Megan Thee Stallion just released her new album and opened the show with a medley that included her Hot 100 number one song, “HISS,” and her shouting out all her women favorites among the public. Taraji P. Henson introduced the show by taking Kendrick's “Not Like Us” and reminding everyone that the BET Awards are about us. Media of the Year winner Victoria Monét put it on her mom before she was joined by Kaytranada in an MJ look, then she went completely weird during “Alright.” While Sexyy Red made her offer to run for president. Tyla performed with Gunna after taking home the award for Best International Artist. Our favorite black country singers took the stage as we heard Tanner Adell and Shaboozey, who brought out J-KWON. The night also featured GloRilla, Latto and Ice Spice, and as far as legends go, Will Smith made his BET stage debut with the new song, “You Can Make It.” Lauryn Hill came on stage and even brought out Wyclef. But it was really all about Usher. His tribute included performances by Donald Glover and Keke Palmer, Summer Walker, Coco Jones and Chlöe Bailey, Tinashe and many more. He accepted the Icon Honor award. Big awards of the night included Killer Mike for Album of the Year and more. To see everything you missed at the BET Awards, visit billboard.com.
