After sweating more than three hours a night on her Eras tour, Taylor Swift has earned some time with friends. And that's exactly what she got over the weekend after wrapping up her three-night stand at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland, when she and some fellow A-listers hit up the city's Hacienda bar.
“Delighted to welcome Taylor Swift with all her musicians and dancers to the Hacienda last night. Special to also welcome Superbowl champion Travis Kelce, the legendary Stevie Nicks and Paramore,” the bar wrote in Facebook on Monday (July 1). “It was such a warm and genuinely friendly evening, we didn't ask for our 'usual' Hacienda photo to allow Taylor and friends to properly relax and enjoy some well-deserved time off.”
The Dublin shows were notable for many reasons, one of which was an apparent surprise appearance by three-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Kelce, who entered the venue mid-show and seemed to catch the girl's eye. of. In videos posted by fans, Taylor can be seen lighting up when Kelce walks in during Folklore song “August”.
Additionally, one of Swift's all-time greats, Fleetwood Mac singer and solo star Nicks, seemed to blurt out at that show after Taylor's performance. Midnight track “You're On Your Own, Kid.” Swift dedicated his live debut Department of Tormented Poets song “Clara Bow” to Nicks on the show, and according to fan footage, when the singer began performing “You're On Your Own,” Nicks broke down in tears.
Last year, during a show in Atlanta, Nicks said the song helped capture the grief she felt following the death of her longtime Mac bandmate Christine McVie in November 2022. “Thank you Taylor Swift for making this thing for me, and that's to write a song called “You're On Your Own, Kid,” Nicks said at the time. “This is the sadness of how I feel. As long as Chris was there, even on the other side of the world, we didn't have to talk on the phone. We weren't really phone friends. Then we'd go back to Fleetwood Mac, and we'd walk in and he'd be like, “little sister, how are you?” It was as if not a single minute had passed, not a single argument had passed in all our 47 years.”
Swift will return to the stage at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam on Thursday (July 4) for a three-night stand before moving on to another three-stop run at Gelsenkirchen, Germany's Arena AufSchalke on July 17-19.
