All six of the group's full-length studio albums debuted in the top 10, beginning with Night visions (released in 2012).
Also in the top 10 of Taylor Swift's latest album sales chart Department of Tormented Poets returns to No. 1 for fifth consecutive week at the top, formerly leader Beyoncé Cowboy Carter returns to the chart at No.2 following the release of a deluxe vinyl edition, Megan Thee Stallion's Megan opens at No. 4 with Camila Cabello's best-selling week ever C, XOXO enters at No. 5 and both The Warning and Omar Apollo record their first top 10s, as their latest albums slip to No. 6 and 10, respectively.
Advertising signThe Top Albums Sales chart ranks the best-selling albums of the week based on traditional album sales only. The history of the chart dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Advertising sign began charting electronically tracked track count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Net album sales was the sole metric used by the Billboard 200 album chart through the list dated December 6, 2014, after which that chart changed to a methodology that combines album sales with track-equivalent album units and album-equivalent units flow. The new chart dated July 13, 2024 will be posted in full on Advertising signon the user's website on July 9. LoomFirst week sales were aided by its availability on seven vinyl variants (mostly color variants or alternate packaging) and three CD variants (a standard album, a Target edition, and a deluxe boxed set containing a branded puzzle). Target stores carried two exclusive versions of the album, one on vinyl and one on CD, each with a bonus track not available in any other physical format (“Eyes Closed” featuring J Balvin).
Department of Tormented Poets climbs 2-1 on Top Albums with 35,000 sold. Sales of the album increased by 27% in the tracking week, mainly thanks to two new CD variants of the set sent to customers. The two CDs, which were sold exclusively on Swift's online store, were soon available for pre-order in early June for $7.99 each. Both CDs contain the 16 songs of the standard album and an audio bonus track (one featuring “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone and the other featuring “Fresh Out the Slammer”).
Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter re-enters the top album sales at No. 2 with 24,000 copies sold (up 1,673%) following the release of a deluxe edition of the album on vinyl. Vinyl sales made up just over 23,000 of that figure (up 3,551%).
Megan Thee Stallion marks her highest selling week ever as Megan debuts at No. 4 with 16,000 sales. The set marks her fourth top 10 chart effort. Sales of the set were aided by its availability in three CD variants (all with the same audio content, just different covers, all sold exclusively on the artist's online store) and five digital download album variants (one standard widely available version, one exclusive to Amazon, with a bonus track featuring alternate covers and a printed digital signature from Megan Thee Stallion.
Camila Cabello records her fourth set of top 10s on the Top Selling Albums Chart – her total number of albums on the charts – as C, XOXO bows at No. 5 with 15,000 sales. The album was released in six vinyl variants (all color variants, including a signed version), two CD variants (one was signed) and three digital album download variants (a standard version and two additional versions that each had a bonus one track a cappella).
Rock trio The Warning make their Top album Sales debut as the band's new studio album Keep Me Fed debuts at No. 6 with nearly 15,000 sold – the act's best sales week to date. The album was preceded by two chart hits on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart: “More” (No. 36 peak in August 2023) and “Sick” (No. 8 on June 8, 2024 chart). First week sales of the set were aided by its availability on four vinyl variants (color variants, including one signed by the band) and four CD versions (one standard set and three signed by the individual members of the group).
The top of ATEEZ Golden Hour: Part 1 rises 8-7 on top album sales with just over 12,000 (up 18%), Chappell Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess falls 4-8 with 12,000 (down 18%) and Billie Eilish's Hit with hard and soft slips 6-9 with 11,000 (down 15%).
Omar Apollo completes the top 10 best selling albums, as his new self God said no starts at No. 10 with 10,000 sales. It marks his first top 10 chart effort. Sales of the set were boosted by its availability in nine vinyl variants (all color versions, including two that were signed), three CD versions (a Zine/CD pack, a deluxe boxed set containing a CD and a branded T-shirt, and a standard CD) and two cassettes (one was signed).
