JoJo Siwa is going back to her roots — Reality TV

Days before cementing Rebranding herself in the shock-pop era with the release of her debut EP, JoJo Siwa has revealed she's returning to her roots – reality TV.

Not only that, according to Variety, Siwa is planning her new documentary with Jeff Collins, creator of the show that helped launch her career, Dancer moms. The show is described in press materials as a “coming of age” series that will chronicle Siwa's “personal and professional life and career.” Along with Siwa, the show will feature various unspecified people from Siwa's “inner circle.”

She continues: “Cameras will take an in-depth look at her creative process as she charts her path as an adult pop star — evolving from the beloved child star she adored on screen. JoJo will reveal what it's like to be one of the most famous 20-year-olds in the world running multiple businesses, landing a record deal and living on her own for the first time… For the first time, audiences will get a glimpse of the face as she reveals who she is in the quiet moments away from the spotlight.”

Siwa started on the reality show at the age of eight when she appeared Abby's Ultimate Dance Competitionone Dancer moms spin-off (on which Collins served as executive producer). She joined Dancer moms in 2015 and showcased her rising stardom in a variety of Nickelodeon concerts. in the early 2020s, he appeared on competition shows such as The masked singer, So you think you can danceand Special Forces: The toughest test in the world.

This year, however, Siwa has focused heavily on music and used it as a way to escape the clean-cut image she cultivated as a child star. She dropped her new single 'Karma' in April, having previously teased a warning of sorts, stating that the song was “not made for children and may be disturbing or offensive to some viewers”. The song previews Siwa's upcoming EP, Guilty pleasurewhich arrives this Friday July 12th.
