Nancy Cartwright, who’s voiced Bart Simpson on The Simpsons for over three decades, has confirmed she is pop star Sabrina Carpenter’s aunt.
In a TikTok posted on July 9th, Cartwright enthusiastically answered a question about whether Carpenter is her niece by saying, “Yeah! Absolutely! Isn’t that amazing?”

Cartwright continued, “Maybe you’ve known me for a little while, doing this little 10-year-old boy for 35 some years — and some of you guys for way less than that — and find out that I’m related to this superstar. She’s pretty amazing.”
“The rumors are true! Sabrina Carpenter is my niece!” she added in the video caption. Watch the clip below.
Bart isn’t Cartwright’s only prominent role on The Simpsons. She also voices Ralph Wiggum, Nelson Muntz, Todd Flanders, and Maggie. Now that the not-so-hidden secret’s out of the bag, maybe we’ll hear Bart singing, “That’s that me espresso” or “Please, please, please/ Don’t prove I’m right” sometime soon.
This fall, Carpenter is headed out on a 33-date North American tour hitting cities including Toronto, New York, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, Vancouver, and Los Angeles. Get tickets here.
The Simpsons just wrapped up its 35th season and will return for Season 36. In the meantime, you can catch up on Hulu (new subscribers can get a 30-day trial by signing up here).
