Imagine you finally get the perfect spot in the crowd, but a giraffe appears out of nowhere and stops right in front of you.
While most budding artists struggle to get their friends off their couches to watch them perform, RAJA found the ideal rave party crowd in a group of the most beautiful animals on the planet. To promote his new track, aptly titled “ANIMAL,” the afro-house and techno producer performed a live DJ set in Africa for a crowd of zebras, giraffes, lions, buffalo, antelopes and more.
RAJA's video shows wonderful footage of the African wilderness as he sets up his equipment in front of his “audience.” The video zooms in to show the beauty and magnitude of the natural wonders surrounding the DJ and even shows footage of him walking with two small lions.
“ANIMAL” is the first installment in a new live performance series RAJA has dubbed “WAKANDA,” which is inspired by the fictional African nation of the same name that serves as the home of Black Panther in the Marvel Comics universe.
The story will have five chapters: “MAMBA”, “BABULANA”, “MARSAI”, “WAKANDA” and “ANIMAL”, each of which, according to RAJA, will explore “the beauty, traditions and rhythms of Africa like never before”.
