A violent storm hit the metro Toronto area and left more than 100,000 people without power on Tuesday (July 16), per BBC.
Even Drake's mansion was caught in the line of fire. 6 God posted a video on His Instagram Story from his Toronto estate with at least one floor completely flooded.
Sometimes, we have to laugh to keep from crying and the OVO boss had a light-hearted reaction to what looks set to be an expensive bill to repair the damage caused by the record-breaking downpour. He joked about the brown tint of the water and compared it to one of his cocktails of choice.
“It better be an Espresso Martini,” she captioned the clip, which features another person trying to keep the doors to another room closed while Drake walks around barefoot with a broom that probably won't help much.
The hits keep coming for Drake as fans have had fun at his expense on social media. “OVO tears flooded the house” one person wrote to X after seeing the accident. Another scoffed: “Brother got the rap game against him, AND NOW MOTHER NATURE?!?!?”
Environment Canada reported that nearly four inches of rain fell in Toronto from the combination of three separate storms, which broke the city's rainfall record that had stood since 1941.
However, the worst appears to be over as no more significant rain is expected to accumulate for the rest of Tuesday.
“We had 25 percent more rain in three hours than we would normally get in the whole of July with all the storms and systems that came through,” said local meteorologist Dave Phillips.
Authorities reportedly had to perform at least 14 rescues as of press time and are still assessing highway and property damage due to flooding.
Hopefully Drake and the rest of the city can stay Canada Dry as the storm begins to recede.
