Venesti celebrates a double victory with “Es Normal”, as his latest single Advertising signThe Latin Rhythm Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts (dated July 27). The track is the fourth single from the parent album De La Nada to enter a Advertising sign chart.
“It's very important to lead the Latin Rhythm Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay charts, both for me and my team,” says Venesti Advertising sign. “In fact, it's the song we chose as (the) first single and the one I listen to the most.”
On Latin Rhythm Airplay, “Es Normal” climbs from No. 3 to crown the 25-song chart with a 21% increase in audience impressions, up 6.6 million, recorded during the July 12-18 tracking week, according to with Luminate. With the promotion, Colombia's Venesti gets his second No. 1, after “Umaye” took over for a week last October.
In addition, the new champion also leads indie label AP Global to its second Latin Rhythm Airplay crown—and third top 10 overall—after securing its first top 10 with “Pura Maldad” in June 2023.
“When we wrote the song, I was going through a real situation about distrust and chatter, so we decided to write it because a lot of people are going through the same thing,” recalls Venesti. “When the woman involved heard about it, she began to wonder if I had changed. But nothing, it's proven to be the case, and yes, that makes the song even more special for me and my team.”
Pop-Afrobeat “Es Normal” also holds steady at No. 1 for a second week on Latin Pop Airplay. There, it joins Venesti's first single, “No Es Normal,” featuring Nacho and Maffio, which held strong at the summit for 10 weeks, the longest-running song of 2024 so far.
“Es Normal” joins three other songs from Venesti's debut studio album De La Nada, released September 28 on AP Global. Those songs are the No. 11 high “Necesidad” (Latin Rhythm Airplay, Dec. 2022) and the top 10s “Pura Maldad” (No. 10 high, Jun. 2023) and as mentioned, “Umaye,” which gave in Venesti first ruler on any map.
Beyond Latin Rhythm Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay, Venesti reaches his third top 10 in overall Latin Airplay, where the Milo Beat-produced “Es Normal” jumps 8-4. The Colombian singer-songwriter and producer has scored two previous top-10s at radio, both in less than a year: “Umaye” (Dec. 2023) and “No Es Normal”, featuring Nacho and Maffio, on March.
