France's acting sports minister Amélie Oudéa-Castéra has reignited the Olympics rumors after secretly hinting that Céline Dion and Lady Gaga will perform a duet at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
According to the French journalist Thierry Moreauposted on X (formerly Twitter), the duo will sing Édith Piaf's classic “La Vie en Rose.” TMZ also reports that Dion and Gaga will perform the track.
It would mark Dion's first performance since canceling dates on her Courage world tour in North America before revealing she was battling Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.
Dion herself added fuel to the fire she set to attend the event after her post Instagram from Paris on July 24.
“Every time I go back to Paris, I remember that there is so much beauty and joy in the world. I love Paris and I'm so happy to be back! Thanks to our wonderful friends at the Louvre!” he wrote in both English and French.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga was also spotted in Paris ahead of the Summer Olympics opening ceremony.
On Monday (July 22), the pop star was photographed waving and blowing kisses to fans as she stood next to her car. A fan video captures Gaga greeting her fans while peeking out of the vehicle's sunroof, holding up a hand heart.
The sighting came just days after the Olympics appeared to tease a special guest at the 2024 opening ceremony, posting a video of a face disguised as what many believed to be the 13-time Grammy winner.
In the clip, a hooded figure tightens their metal belt and wraps a large flag with the logo of the ancient sporting event around their shoulders as a cape.
“You ain't seen nothing yet,” the video teased. “See you on July 26.”
The much-anticipated four-hour spectacle is set to unfold on July 26 along the Seine River and at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
