Vended, the band formed by the sons of Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan, have announced their debut album.
The self-titled album will arrive digitally and on CD/vinyl on September 20 and contains 13 tracks, including the previously released singles “Am I the Only One,” “The Far Side” and “Nihilism.” It was produced by Chris Collier (Korn).
“There’s a level of aggression and emotion that’s missing from music right now, and our goal on this album is to fill that void,” frontman Griffin Taylor stated. “It represents everything Vended is about. ‘Fuck your ignorance, hold on to it.’ You’re either with us or against us.”
The album's cover art was also revealed, which bears similarities to Slipknot's self-titled album and their official debut with Corey Taylor on vocals. In both cases, the band members are seen photographed up close in their respective stage outfits and costumes, with Vended sporting a large amount of face and body paint.
“Vended is a unit looking to take over the world and this album is the first step,” Griffin added. “Welcome to Vended.”
In addition to Griffin Taylor on vocals and Simon Crahan on drums, the band's lineup includes lead guitarist Cole Espeland, bassist Jeremiah Pugh, and rhythm guitarist Connor Grodzicki.
The album announcement follows news of Vended's first headlining tour, a fall U.S. tour that kicks off in late September (get tickets here here). The dates follow a series of previously announced shows supporting Slipknot and Knocked Loose.
