Deftones have announced a last-minute club show at the Metro in Chicago on Thursday (August 1st) ahead of their appearance at Lollapalooza on Saturday (August 3rd).
Tickets are available via the venue’s ticket provider with a limit of two (will call pickup only). Fans can also look for deals or get tickets in case of a sell out via StubHub, where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
Deftones announced the gig with just two days to spare via X/Twitter, unveiling an exclusive poster for the show and the support act, Massachusetts-based ’90s alt revivalists Fleshwater.
Chino Moreno and company also have a couple other performances on the horizon, including a co-headlining date with System of a Down at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco (August 17th) and their annual Dia De Los Deftones festival on November 2nd at Petco Park in San Diego. The band recently revealed the fest’s lineup, which features a stacked bill including IDLES, Sunny Day Real Estate, HEALTH, Duster, and others.
Meanwhile, Deftones appear to be nearing completion of their long-awaited new album and follow-up to 2020’s Ohms. During a backstage interview at Coachella in April, Moreno revealed that all the music had been recorded and that he just needed to finish up the vocals.
“We want it to be great,” he told KROQ. “I think that’s most important. But it is coming, and, yeah, it’s really good. We’re really excited with what we’ve been working on.”
