We all send our love and prayers for your recovery, Steve.
It is also typical of the band’s sheer class that they have made and broadcast this bold decision with such style. Aerosmith’s career is truly something to celebrate forever. All things must pass, but Aerosmith’s inspiring work will live on, along with the memories of one of the most incredible bands to ever grace a stage. Bri”
Aerosmith announced the unfortunate news that they were pulling out of the road last Friday (August 2), revealing that Tyler will not be able to recover from the damage to his vocal cords and fractured larynx he suffered during a show in September 2023. The band had previously postponed their farewell tour dates until September 2024, but that will no longer be happening.
The band shared in a statement: “Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision as a band of brothers: to retire from touring.”
