A few years ago, Marvel surprised comic book fans and Hip-Hop heads when they released a variant of Deadpool No. 1, which featured the legendary Notorious BIG Now, will once again call upon Big Poppa to grace another variation of the cover for the Merc with a Mouth.
For the upcoming issue to Deadpool & Wolverine: WWIIII #3, Black Frank White will once again visit the Marvel Universe as Deadpool and Wolverine go toe-to-toe. Designed by Salvador Larroca, the special variant issue is available at Hustl.agency and is limited to just 3,000 copies, with an additional special virgin variant of the spots limited to just 1,000 pieces.
In a press release for the special comic edition, we have a quick explanation behind Biggie's second appearance in the Marvel comic universe:
The Notorious BIG returns to Marvel Comics as Brooklyn's undisputed mayoral figure. On his streets, he plays the diplomatic peacemaker, bringing to life his iconic lyrics, “Spread Love, It's the Brooklyn Way.” In the second version of Biggie, he returns to dissolve the enmity between Deadpool and Wolverine in the streets he helped build. Although Biggie is not in the story or series, the cover of the special variant is a limited edition collector's issue.
If anyone can tame Wolverine's types while matching Deadpool's spirits, it's Biggie.
