We still have a long way to go until Nike finally releases the coveted “Galaxy” Nike Air Foamposite Ones, but until that release date arrives in 2025, Nike is steadily building hype around the Foamposites again, and to do so they've enlisted Wales to promote their latest exclusive release on the classic silhouette.
According to Sneaker NewsNike is releasing a 'DMV' exclusive version of their Air Foamposite Ones and to help build excitement around the drop they've had Wale star in their campaign ad, which dropped on social media yesterday (August 19th). One of the most famous sneakerheads in the Hip-Hop game, Wale, stunts in a pair of pink Foams while we watch a collage of scenes showing what life is like in the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area. where other people in the community are blessed with a pair of their own.

In addition to playing a role in the marketing push around the shoe, Wale is also running a special giveaway that seems to reward the most loyal Foamposite fans. To enter, submit a photo of yourself wearing your favorite Foamposites HERE. The giveaway is in partnership with his record label UMG and not through Nike.
Although Wale has never released an official collaboration with Nike, he has been relied upon as an unofficial “first look” source. As previously mentioned, Wale would often be seen in upcoming Nike footwear as he wears the standard sample size 9. Although the rapper's tastes in shoes have ranged across the board, his affinity for Nike Trainers, Foamposites and the classic Nike Basketball was the most obvious.
If you want a pair, you might want to enter the giveaway as these sneakers will be released exclusively at retailers in the DMV area. So good luck getting a pair.
