Smallz One is a 36 year old MC from Albuquerque, New Mexico who debuted on Lyrikal Snuff Productionz in 2009 from her debut full length The Diary of a Black Widow shortly after her debut mixtape Sadistic Stylez. She has since become one of LSP's most established artists making her second effort The Crimson Kingdomher 3rd album Mannequinher debut EP Hourglass, her previous LP The Process of Elimination & most recently the Scum collaboration effort Blame us. However, a week after the 24th annual Gathering of the Juggalos, she's releasing her 2nd EP on all streaming platforms.
“Gutted Eyes” opens us up with pianos and hats promising to burn down her competition and eventually she asks why they're judging here, while “Way Below Average” with Scum follows a more upbeat trap vocally talking about those who fucked them up. “Last” goes full boom boom refusing to trust anyone who's ever fucked, but then “Nevermind” brings back the hats teaming up with her legion of demons to kill you all.
Kicking off the 2nd leg of the EP, the song “Lower Them Down” keeps it trap, showing no mercy to her opposition, while “Garbage” talks tough about doing better than the rest of the bitches. “Dismembered Wishes” featuring Bloody Ruckus cloudily discuss their lives moving on and their haters ending up driving into the “Trash Day” cave calling out those who really won't give a shit. “Pandora's Box” wraps things up and wishes long and patient suffering on her enemies.
Claas happened to give us the 3 track EP two weeks ago In my head with a focus on mental health and from the 2 new projects that LSP had to offer gore hop heads & juggalos, I find myself fueling Tainted in the fields of Lavender more than The Call. Overall, the sound balances boom bap & trap allowing Smallz to put her own Lyrical Snuff spin on these styles.
