Mariah Carey has suffered a huge loss as both her mother and sister have died on the same day. We have the report. In an unimaginable tragedy, Billboard has confirmed that Mariah’s mother, Patricia, and her sister, Alison, have died within hours of each other. In a statement shared with Billboard, Carey wrote, “I am heartbroken to have lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day. I feel blessed to have been able to spend the last week with my mother before she passed away.”
Her mother, also a singer, accompanied her on her Christmas album in 2010. She spoke about her relationship with her family in her 2020 memoir, 'The Meaning Of Mariah Carey'. Details of Patricia and Alison's causes of death have not been confirmed, our thoughts are with Mariah and her family.
