The Smile will return, perhaps sooner than expected, with their second album of the year on October 4th. Cutoutsthe sequel to Eye wallit's enough XL following recent single “Don't Get Me Started” b/w “The Slip”. Two more new songs, “Foreign spies“and”Zero sum,” precede the LP, the latter featuring a music video from Weirdcore. Find the new music below.
Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood trio with jazz drummer Tom Skinner spent much of the year touring back Eye wall. The group recently canceled several shows, however, due to a serious infection that left Greenwood in intensive care. “Thankfully he is now out of danger and will soon return home,” the band wrote.
The previously vinyl-only “Don't Get Me Started” and “The Slip” appear on the new disc. The Smile recorded the new album with producer Sam Petts-Davies in Oxford and London Abbey Road Studios the same period it brought about Eye wall.
