JHAYCO has created several viral hits, from “Dakiti” to “No Me Conoce,” and now the Latin star is releasing his third studio album. JHAYCO talks about how “Le Clique: Vida Rockstar (X)” is inspired by his childhood, the different themes the album addresses, his performance and collaboration with Peso Pluma, and more!
Isabela Raygoza: Welcome to Beat by Beat, the Billboard interview. I'm Isabela Raygoza and I'm here with Jhayco. How are you?
Jhayco: Good, good. Happy.
I'm so happy to have you here in New York. You're about to release a spectacular album because I had a preview to listen to. Let's talk about it. 'Le Clique: Vida Rockstar (X)'. Exactly. Well, first of all, it's your first album in three years since 'Timelezz'.
Yes, I have been working on this album, which took a lot of time, effort and love. And I am very excited for my fans and the public to be able to hear what I have been working on for three years.
Oh, that must be really exciting. And I love the colors you have, you know, the sonic transitions as well. What's the story behind this?
Yeah, I have this quote that says, “Le Clique is the family, the rock star life is the movement.” Basically, the rock star life is my movement and Le Clique is like my team, you know? My company that I’m going to work with in the future with talents and all that. So, you know, it’s just a new step in my career, you know? A new chapter, so I felt like it was crucial to introduce this to the world and what better than to put it as a name?
Amazing. And the album comes at a new stage in your career. What does it mean to you, both professionally and personally?
Keep watching to learn more!
