Jay Wheeler and Zhamira Zambrano are becoming parents for the first time! The couple announced the exciting news in a joint post on Wednesday (September 4).
“Welcome princess, we love you with our lives,” reads the caption, which accompanies two adorable photos showing the newborn's tiny feet and hands.
The Puerto Rican artist and the up-and-coming Venezuelan actor first announced they were expecting their first child on June 13 via a collaborative Instagram post. “Bienvenida,” read the caption next to four images of the couple lovingly embracing.
To coincide with the news, Zambrano also released a single titled “Bienvenida”, with a music video documenting her pregnancy. “My life is about to change in a few more months,” she croons sweetly over a slow pop ballad.
Wheeler and Zambrano married in December, and that same month dropped their second collaborative effort, “Extrañándote,” following 2022's “Dícelo.” The former earned Zambrano her first top 10 on the Latin Pop Airplay chart and Wheeler the third. They also performed the song at the 2024 Latin American Music Awards in April.
Zambrano will join Billboard Latin Music Week 2024 alongside previously announced artists such as J Balvin, Alejandro Sanz, Peso Pluma, Maria Becerra and Gloria Estefan, to name a few.
Celebrating its 35th anniversary, Billboard Latin Music Week — the most important week in Latin music — will take place October 14-18 at The Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theater. tickets are already available for buy here.
