Iconic cinema legend James Earl Jones has died. It was 93.
It's sad the world, the universe and a galaxy far away. Deadline confirms, through his representatives, that Jones died on Modnay morning (September 9) at his home in Dutchess County, New York.
Jones famously voiced the infamous villain Darth Vader in Star Wars films and has always been recognized for his numerous film and theater roles. But arguably for Hip-Hop heads, one of the most beloved performances of EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) winners is that of King Jaffe Jofer, the father of Eddie Murphy's character Prince Akeem in I'm coming to Americarole in which he repeated Coming 2 America. And of course he's also the voice of Mufasa in Disney's The Lion King.
