The Alchemist and ScHoolboy Q link up once again on the producer's lead single from his upcoming album The Original Articulated and he will rap on it.
“Ferraris in the Rain” features the Alchemist taking out various luxury vehicles to relax. “Look, I'm hitin' Rari in the rain/Ice in my veins, slurpin' Bacardi straight/ I just started, I hardly ate / Icin' all on me, I'm a birthday party cake.” he spits as he literally steps out of a Ferrari SF90 Stradale. ScHolboy then follows the last verse. “The rose grill, is that the pearly gates?/ The big clock, it had the bumpy face,” he raps as he stands in front of a white Rolls-Royce he's just stepped out of.
Both have had great years so far. Q released one of the best rap albums of the year Blue lipsand the Alchemist was active this year as usual. He dropped a few projects with Hit-Boy, produced tracks for Big Sean, released a new album Gangrene and found himself embroiled in the Kendrick vs. Drake battle when the former used a beat for “Meet the Grahams.” A few months ago, the producer/rapper took to social media and showed fans how he made the beat.
TMZ colluded with the Alchemist while leaving LAX, and sounded pretty confident that Kendrick will release an album this year. He also told them that he keeps sending Lamar hits. “I work with Dot all the time, so I'm always sending him beats.” Adding, “I got some records in this car. I'll go send them as soon as I get home.”
The Original Articulated is scheduled to drop next week on September 20th.
