After blowing away the competition with a handful of hits including “Yeah Glo!”, “Wanna Be” and “TGIF,” GloRilla looks to cement her MVP year with the release of her debut album. GLORIOUS. Released today (October 11), GLORIOUS includes brand names like Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, Sexyy Red, Kirk Franklin, T-Pain and more.
“Last year, I had to drop my debut album, but I was still practicing and working hard,” Glo said. Bulletin board earlier this week. By the time the year peaked, I had essentially completed the project. I was like, “Okay, I have to give them the mixtape before I give them the album,” because I went the whole year without dropping anything. That's why I said I'll give them the mixtape first, get used to me first, give them a sense of who I am, and then that will prepare me for the album. The mixtape went well and did what it was supposed to do, which was prepare me for my album.”
After previously dishing out 'Wanna Be' and 'Accent' with her Megan Thee Stallion, the pair link up again for a trifecta on their new collab, 'How I Look. “I don't really have a lot of friends in the industry,” Glo said of her friendship with Megan. “I have partners and they're nice, but me and Meg were really nice. I didn't expect that. He FaceTimed me when I was getting on the plane, just talking crazy and funny. We really bonded.”
