Jelly Roll lands his first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as Beautifully broken bows at the top of the list dated October 26. The set enters with 161,000 equivalent album units earned in the US in the week ending Oct. 17, according to Luminate – the artist's best week ever by units. The set's first week was driven largely by album sales – 114,000 – similarly marking Jelly Roll's biggest sales week to date. The album also opens at No. 1 on the top selling album chart.
Beautifully broken marks Jelly Roll's second top-10 effort on the Billboard 200, following its No. 3 debut Whitsitt Chapel in 2023.
Beautifully broken it also achieves the third-biggest week, by units, for any country album in 2024, behind the debut frames of Beyoncé's and Post Malone's premier country sets. In total, Jelly Roll scores the fifth country album to lead the Billboard 200 of all genres in 2024 – the most in a single year since 2014, when there were also five. Elsewhere in the top 10 of the latest Billboard 200, Rod Wave secures his seventh straight top 10 – his charting effort total – as Last Round debuts at No. 2, by Charli XCX Brat 14-3 margin (matching her debut and top ranking) after a deluxe reissue, GloRilla reaches her first top 10 with her No. 5 bow Gloriousand BigXthaPlug scores its first top 10 with its No. 8 arrival Care.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the US based on multimetric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units include album sales, track album equivalents (TEA) and streaming album equivalents (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale or 10 individual tracks sold from an album or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 official paid/subscription audio and video streams generated from songs from an album. The new chart dated October 26, 2024 will be published in full on Bulletin boardon the user's website on Tuesday, October 22. Of Beautifully brokenThe 161,000 equivalent album units earned in the first week brings album sales to 114,000. SEA units include 44,000 (equivalent to 58.86 million official on-demand streams of the release's 28-song stream). and TEA units consist of 3,000. The album was released as a 14-track standard release (on CD, vinyl and cassette), a 22-track extended album (as a digital download and streaming set), a 27-track deluxe edition (sold as a download on Jelly Roll's official online store), and a deluxe 28-track album (dub Beautifully broken [Pickin’ Up the Pieces]widely available as a digital download and streaming set).
The album's first week sales were boosted by its availability on seven vinyl variants, three CD variants (the CDs sold a total of 65,000, including a signed edition sold through the artist's online store), a cassette and three download album variants (the downloads sold 32,000 ). Net proceeds from pre-orders of the CD and vinyl on his online store benefited four charities: Folds of Honor, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Shatterproof and Wounded Warriors.
Beautifully broken It was preceded by a trio of songs charting on the Billboard Hot 100: “I Am Not Okay”, “Lonely Road” (featuring MGK) and “Liar”. They are three of Jelly Roll's nine songs to debut on the Hot 100 in 2024 – the others include collaborations with Eminem, Post Malone and Falling in Reverse.
Rod Wave lands his seventh top-10 album on the Billboard 200 — his entire charting effort — as Last Round bows at No. 2 with 127,000 equivalent album units. Of that amount, SEA units comprise 125,000 (equivalent to 173.35 million official on-demand streams of the set's 23 songs; it's No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums), album sales comprise 2,000, and TEA units comprise a negligible amount.
Last Round was previewed by a pair of Hot 100 songs: “Passport Junkie” and “Fall Fast In Love.”
Wave has scored at least one Billboard 200 top 10 every year since 2019, starting with his first chart set, Ghetto Gospel (No. 10, 2019) and continuing with Pray 4 Love (No. 2, 2020), SoulFly (No. 1, 2021), Beautiful mind (No. 1, 2022), Jupiter Calendar: 7 Day Theory (No. 9, 2022), Nostalgia (No. 1, 2023) and Last Round (No. 2, 2024). The only other act with at least one new top 10 each year during 2019-24 is Taylor Swift.
Charli XCX's Brat limit of 14-3, matching its debut ranking and peak position, following the album's deluxe reissue on October 11. It earned 105,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Oct. 17 — the set's biggest week yet. Of that amount, SEA units comprise 57,000 (equivalent to the set's 73.63 million official song streams on demand), album sales comprise 48,000, and TEA units less than 1,000.
Brat was originally released on June 7 as a standard 15-song album. It was reissued in deluxe format on June 10 with three bonus tracks, dubbed Brat and it's the same, but there are three other songs, so it's not. After the first week of monitoring, Brat (with both versions combined for charting and tracking purposes) debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 (dated June 22).
On October 11, the album was reissued in a super deluxe 34-track format (named Brat and it's totally different but still brat), containing the original album's 15 songs, the three bonus cuts added on June 10, and then 16 remixes of the set's tracks with a star-studded guest list (including The 1975, Bon Iver, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Lorde and many more). Then, on October 14, the completely different The album was reissued, adding a remix of “Spring Breakers” featuring Kesha to its setlist, bringing the total number of tracks to 35.
The 34 ari completely different edition of Brat released for sale as a digital download, CD, triple-LP vinyl and double-cassette, as well as a streaming album. The 35-track version of the album was available for purchase as a download and for streaming.

Of the first week tally, SEA units are 56,000 (equivalent to the set's 77.98 million official song streams on demand), album sales are 12,000, and TEA units are 1,000. The album was available in both standard and bonus track digital download versions, as well as a signed CD version.
Chappell Roan's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess falls 3-6 on the Billboard 200 (55,000 equivalent album units, down 2%) and Billie Eilish Hit with hard and soft down 5-7 (50,000, up less than 1%).
Rapper BigXthaPlug visits the top 10 for the first time – and the entire top 40 – as his new album Care enters at No. 8 with 48,000 equivalent album units earned, marking their biggest week yet. The artist previously scored two chart entries, peaking at No. 97 with Amar and No. 111 with The Greatest (both earlier in 2024). Of the album's first week units, SEA units comprise 46,500 (equivalent to the set's 62.77 million official song streams on demand), album sales are 1,500, and TEA units are a negligible amount.
New Billboard 200 top 10 completes Morgan Wallen's chart topper One thing at a time (4-9 with 48,000 equivalent album units, down 5%) and former Taylor Swift leader Department of Tormented Poets (6-10 with 44,000, down 1%).
