As fans prepare to watch Lady Gaga's “Disease,” the pop superstar shared a haunting new video trailer for the fast-approaching single on Tuesday (October 22).
In the clip, Gaga — wearing a short white dress — frantically drives away as a car follows her through a suburban neighborhood. The camera is positioned from inside the vehicle, making it appear that the viewers are the ones chasing her, her long black hair blowing behind her in the wind.
The only music heard in the teaser is a string of eerie piano notes, followed by a percussive beat at the end. Gaga didn't reveal anything else in the video's caption, simply writing: “SICKNESS 10.25.”
“Disease” will mark fans' first taste of the 13-time Grammy winner's highly anticipated seventh album. In late September, Gaga fell Harlequina companion album that coincided with Joker: Folie à Deux; the project debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 and marked her third No. 1 on Bulletin board jazz charts.
The “Rain on Me” artist first announced that “Disease” would arrive on October 25 in an Instagram post a day before the new teaser, sharing a promotional poster that featured her in the same white dress, bent over from the hood of a car. as if he had just hit her. Before the announcement, fans noticed that she had hidden the title of the track in her Spotify discography, writing in lowercase letters of previous releases on the platform, as well as posting lyrics from the track on cryptic websites.
