Tool has announced a new all-inclusive festival taking place March 7-9, 2025 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino & Royalton Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The three-day event will be headlined by Tool, with Primus, Mastodon and others also on the bill.
Dubbed “Tool Live in the Sand,” the resort's festival will also feature Coheed and Cambria, Eagles of Death Metal, King's X, Fishbone, Wheel, CKY and Moonwalker.
Tool will play two unique sets over the weekend; Meanwhile, they will be joined by their longtime visual collaborators Alex Gray and Allyson Gray. Tool has partnered with live events company Festication for the event and will mark the band's first performance in the Caribbean.
Tickets for “Tool Live in the Sand” will go on sale first to members of the band's official fan club, Tool Army. Tool Army pre-sale begins Tuesday, October 29 at 10:00 am PST; Existing members will receive a unique code that will allow them to purchase passes before the general sale. According to a press release, “Packages include a deluxe resort room, unlimited food and beverages for each guest, and 3 days of music. Off-site excursions will be offered, including snorkelling, catamaran expeditions, rappelling, visits to ecological parks and other activities.”
In addition to the cruise, fans can see Tool singer Maynard James Keenan's other bands, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer, along with Primus, on the recently announced “Sessanta 2.0” tour taking place next spring.
