Vinyl releases, by Jaar's Other People label, will follow on January 31st.
Jaar, according to a press release, first wrote “Piedras” for a concert at Chile's Museum of Memory and Human Rights to commemorate the victims of Augusto Pinochet's decades-long military dictatorship. He expanded the project over the next few years, turning it into a radio project called Archivos de Radio Piedraswhich he exhibited at the Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo in Mexico City.
Last year, Jaar released a collaboration album with Ali Sethi titled Intiha. He released two solo albums, Chenizas and Totallyin 2020.
Darkside, Jaar's band with Dave Harrington and drummer Tlacael Esparza, returned earlier this week with new song “Graucha Max.” They also announced a 2025 North American tour.
