How was school today? Children at an elementary school in Brooklyn had to tell their parents that they had a substitute teacher—a teacher who actually put them to work. BLACKPINK's LISA appeared at PS 282 and spent the day teaching a group of students some 'Rockstar' moves.
LISA's daily teaching is shown in a new video uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday (October 29) as part of the series Celebrity surrogatein which a celebrity guest takes over the classroom in each episode.
Even though the “Moonlit Floor” singer says in the clip that she's never performed with kids before — and those kids seem a little apprehensive about picking up her choreography in a day — Ms. Lisa takes on the challenge with a smile.
“If you want to be in the group, you have to look like a group,” explains the new sidekick, and the guys go through wardrobe options until they look just right for their debut as “Lisa's Group.”
Next step: learning the “Rockstar” dance. LISA perfectly demonstrates a short chorus section. The students stare blankly at her.
“It looks hard,” observes one child.
LISA takes it as a lesson to break it down into simpler pieces for the kids, and by the end of the school day, these students end up starring alongside the pop star in a sweet one-minute music video. As a bonus, their real-life teacher gets a wonderful surprise for her class.
