South Korean artist collective Balming Tiger has released a fun five-track EP titled greatest hits. stream it below.
He Cosign The students, known for their music that combines bright energy with pointed lyricism, approached greatest hits less like an album and more like a collection of tracks that could serve as singles. The music video for “Big Butt” features creative direction from San Yawn, the group’s founder and executive producer, who was recently an integral part of BTS’s RM’s second solo project. According to a statement, the image serves as a tribute to the boy band music videos of the '90s “that influenced the group.”
Elsewhere on the EP, Balming Tiger navigates the double-edged sword of ambition on the joyful “Cunning City” and unravels materialism on “Spirit Chaebol.” “I'm too eager to live life/I'm too arrogant to accept death,” says Omega Sapien.
To celebrate the release, the group has planned two hometown shows at Nodeul Island Live House in Seoul on November 2 and 3.
