Tori Amos has announced Diving Deep Live, a new live album that features renditions of songs from across her entire discography. The live LP will be out everywhere on December 6th.
Recorded during Amos’ “Ocean to Ocean tour” throughout 2022-2023 with Musical Director and bassist Jon Evans and drummer Ash Soan, Diving Deep Live serves as Amos’ third live album. As she’s noted for in concert, Amos included rarities and B-sides that she hadn’t normally played over her 30+ year career, like “Ruby Through the Looking Glass,” “Daisy Dead Petals,” and more.
She’s offered a live rendition of “Cornflake Girl,” a song from her 1994 album Under the Pink, as the first preview of Diving Deep Live. With a predictably tight rhythm section and warm, wide-ranging vocals from Amos, the live version is even more spacious and rousing than the original. Stream the new live version of “Cornflake Girl” below.
Tori Amos may have concluded her “Ocean to Ocean tour” last year, but she did return over the summer to announce a 10th anniversary vinyl reissue of her 2014 album Unrepentant Geraldines. The expanded, special deluxe edition featured three new songs and arrived on September 6th. Order your vinyl copy here.
