Beyoncé asked fans at the Brazilian premiere of her movie 'Renaissance' to take part in the tour's viral 'mute' challenge – and they failed spectacularly.
The artist celebrated its release Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé in Brazil hosting a fan event and screening titled 'Club Renaissance' in Bahia, where she addressed fans from the stage and had them participate in one of her tour traditions.
In the mute challenge, when Beyoncé sings the line “Look around you, all silent” from the hit of 'Energy', the crowd must remain silent. However, the Brazilian fans were simply too excited and continued to scream, as many had done on other dates on the 'Renaissance' world tour.
When Beyoncé gave them a second chance, they continued to cheer, to which she laughed in response.

The artist also explained why it was important for her to bring the concert film to a South American country.
“I came because I love you so much,” she said. “It was very important for me to be here — here in Bahia. Renaissance is about freedom. It's about beauty, joy, resilience, everything you do. It is a great honor to be here and I am glad to see your beautiful faces. I love you so much.”
Beyoncé finished by thanking her fans with a reference to her “Rebirth” track “Alien Superstar.” “There is no one like you. You are one of a kind. Number one and unique, Baya!”.
The success of her 'Renaissance' world tour and concert film means Beyoncé is edging towards billionaire status. According to a new estimate of Forbes magazine, the singer's net worth increased by nearly $300 million (£235.6 million) this year to $800 million (£628.3 million).
Renaissance initially stormed the US box office, earning $21m (£16m) in North America in its opening weekend. However, it fell short of Taylor Swift's recent one Eras Tour film, which earned $92.8m (£73.9m) in its opening weekend and took in $250m (£199m) worldwide across its run.
