Mike Tyson and Jake Paul entered the ring at AT&T Stadium on Friday (November 15) with tons of hype, pre-fight hype and a healthy backdrop of exciting fights streaming live on Netflix. At the conclusion of the main event, Jake Paul emerged victorious, but Mike Tyson didn't exactly bring much resistance from the boxing fans' advantage.
Mike Tyson, 58, and Jake Paul, 27, entered the ring to much fanfare. In the early stages, the age difference didn't seem to be a factor, with Iron Mike showing flashes of his prime. Paul, as many have noted, has some real skill and good footwork, using slick jabs and looping hooks that kept Tyson reacting.
Tyson tagged Paul with some powerful hooks and peppered him with a jab, but the YouTube star was able to push the action for the most part. In the next few rounds, fatigue seemingly set in for both fighters with Paul visibly gasping for breath and his jab disappearing until the final seconds of the two minute rounds.
Again, we have to point out that there is a 31-year age difference between these two fighters, but Tyson was no slouch and even tagged Paul with some heavier shots that, had he been 31 years younger, would have had more pepper in them. . It seemed that neither fighter was willing to come out on their shield and stuck to conservative game plans.
Near the end of the eight-round fight, Paul honored Tyson by bowing to him, and the pair showed respect for each other during a hug in the center of the ring. Paul could be seen speaking to an attentive Tyson, with both men looking exhausted.
On X, formerly Twitter, fight fans voice their opinions on the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight, which improves Paul's record to 11-1 and Tyson's to 50-7.
