Opening up like never before, Nostalgix has returned to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak Records with “Show Me Love.”
The emotional dance record offers a heartfelt exploration of desperation and resilience. In a world where social media too often showcases polished perfection, Nostalgix offers an unfiltered ode to her struggles with heartbreak, isolation, and loneliness during a challenging year.
“I went through hell last year,” he said in a news release. “I faced my greatest heartbreak and endured so much loss. I felt torn and completely alone.”
Initially, attempts to create “fun” and “over-the-top” tracks left her feeling disconnected. Frustrated, she discarded her previous work, turned on her microphone and poured her emotions into the music. The result was “Show Me Love,” which explores the feelings of being lost and unsure of how to move forward, but holding on to hope for better days.
“I felt like the song was waiting to come out of me,” Nostalgix added.
The release is accompanied by a stunning music video that reflects the raw energy of the song. As day turns to night, vivid strobe lights and red lights appear, echoing the emotional depth of the song.
