Studio Announces West Coast Reissue, Share New 'Origin' Video: Watch

Studio will reissue their debut album, West Coastvia Ghostly International on January 24, 2025. The cult Swedish duo also shared a new video for “Origin,” from the record, which you can watch below. The reissue comes on LP, cassette and minidisc and will bring the disc to streaming services for the first time.

Released in 2006, West Coast originally featured in art school graduate duo Dan Lissvik and Rasmus Hägg, before the compilation LP Yearbook 1 helped spread the word beyond Gothenburg of the band the following year. (Pitchfork named it among the best albums of 2007, saying it offered “faint visions of Can doing a Happy Mondays tribute album or the Fela Kuti-backed Cure.”) An official follow-up never materialized, though a compilation remix focused, Yearbook 2released in 2008.
