ROSÉ is no stranger to a No. 1 hit. 1 and is now officially a “Number One Girl” with her latest single out Friday (November 22) via Atlantic Records/THEBLACKLABEL.
“So what would it take for you to want me/ I'd give it all up if you told me/ That I'd be the number one girl in your eyes,” the BLACKPINK star sings on the lovelorn chorus, too. as in the accompanying self-directed music video.
“Number One Girl” follows ROSÉ's recent collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT.” The track reached No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, becoming the first Western song to dominate Japan's song chart in over 11 years. The song also spends a fourth week atop both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. American charts.
Both singles will be featured on the K-pop star's recently announced December 6 albumrosé. When she shared news of her first solo LP last month, Rosé wrote: “I've poured my blood and tears into this album. I look forward to hearing this little magazine of mine. Rosie – is the name I allow my friends and family to call me. With this album, I hope you all feel closer to me. And yes, it's a complete album.”
According to the press release, ROSÉ co-produced and co-wrote the album, which features 12 tracks and is her “most personal and honest” work to date.
