Alter Bridge have unveiled an expanded 20th anniversary vinyl reissue of their debut album. one day left via Craft Recordings.
The 2-LP edition arrives in a host of colorways (nine in total) and features the original track listing and six bonus tracks: the rare B-side “Save Me” that closes the C-side and a live performance of five songs from 2005. from Toronto's Phase One studios on side D (four of the live cuts are unreleased). The live take of “Metalingus” can be streamed now ahead of the vinyl release.
Some color variants (Smoke Red, Smoke Yellow, Smoke Green, and Smoke Navy) retail for $40 and are on sale exclusively at Alter Bridge's online store. Each variant is limited to 300 copies.
Meanwhile, the global release of the standard 2LP black version ($33) is on March 7, and other exclusive retailers will carry the remaining vinyl colorways (Orange Smoke, Limeade, Blue Smoke, and Electric Smoke). A digital release with the bonus tracks is scheduled for December 6.
Craft Recordings originally reissued one day left in 2021, the first vinyl edition of the album, with alternate artwork and no bonus tracks. For curious collectors, this edition is already sold out and sells for a good sum on the second-hand market.
The reissue announcement comes amid a lull in Alter Bridge activity following their 2022 album. Pawns and kings and intense touring throughout 2023. However, the band members haven't slowed down in the slightest, with three of them (Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall) currently back playing in a reunited Creed, and Kennedy in the middle of the album cycle. for his 2024 LP The art of letting go.
