Once again, Kendrick Lamar has the rap world talking. Lil Wayne it seems that he answered him after referring to GNX.
As spotted on Vulture, The Compton, California rapper made waves last week with the release of his newest project. In it, he makes several references to many of his peers in the “Not Like Us” post. On “wacced out murals” he raps, “Used for hitting Carter IIII kept my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down / But what they call me crazy, everybody's questioning / Turn me into an Eskimo, I drew the line and the decimals.” These lines are a direct reference to him securing the halftime performance for Super Bowl LIX. The 2025 edition is set to be hosted in New Orleans, and Lil Wayne publicly expressed his disappointment at not being able to perform in his hometown following the announcement.
Man wtf am I doing?!
I'm just relaxed and not in my head yet. Let us not mistake kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. please everyone No one really wants destruction, not even me, but I will destroy if they bother me. On me. Love

On Saturday (November 23), Tunechi took to X, formerly Twitter, and apparently referenced the song. “Man wtf am I doing?! i'm just relaxed & [they] yet [come] 4 my head. Let us not mistake kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. please everyone No one really wants destruction, not even me, but I will destroy if they bother me. On me. Love,” he wrote. This isn't the first time Kendrick Lamar has referenced Lil Wayne in his music. Back in 2010, he rapped over Kanye West's instrumental “Monster” and said “I'm the best rapper alive, tell Wayne to swallow his pride.”
During the Kendrick Lamar and Drake battle, Lil Wayne remained neutral and unfazed. Weeks later, he was seen rapping 'Not Like Us' before performing his verse on 'The Motto'.
