“When Orianthi moved on to pursue her own career in 2014, we were lucky to find Nita,” Cooper said in a press release. “Over the last decade, Nita, Chuck [Garric]and tommy [Henriksen] They have also released their own projects and we always try to coordinate our schedule in order to keep the band together, but these shows came about after Nita had already committed to another tour.
He continued, “So I reached out to Orianthi and luckily she was available to come back on, so we're all looking forward to doing these shows with her. “I am very lucky to always be able to work with such good musicians.”
As Cooper mentioned, Strauss already has prior obligations, as he will be supporting Apocalyptica's upcoming “Plays Metallica” tour. The February portion of the hike overlaps with Cooper's itinerary.
That said, additional 2025 tour dates, including May 9 in Columbus, Ohio's Sonic Temple festival and August 15 opening for My Chemical Romance in Philadelphia, will see Strauss back in the fold, so which is just a temporary separation.
Meanwhile, Orianthi has released two solo studio albums, a live album, and a collaborative LP with Richie Sambora since his original time in Cooper's band. His latest release is the 2022 feature film, rock candy.
