Joss Stone and husband Cody DaLuz are now a family of five, with the English singer-songwriter announcing on Monday (December 2) that the couple recently adopted a baby boy named Bear.
The couple's new addition is the couple's third child together, following 3-year-old sister Violet and 2-year-old brother Shackleton. Stone broke the news to her Instagram followers by sharing a videos of their experience getting the call that Burr had been taken into custody and their trip to the hospital to pick him up.
“We are very much in love with this little guy,” Mr Eragon the actress wrote in her caption. “The reason Cody still exists is because his biomom loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him and the same goes for Bear.”
“Honestly biomothers don't get the credit they deserve,” Stone continued. “It's a more selfless love than I knew existed. Indeed. We are very happy to be part of this beautiful circle.”
Stone's video also shows the couple wearing hospital gowns, holding their new son for the first time. “We're so glad you're here,” DaLuz says while carrying Bear and feeding him a bottle.
Additionally, the “Tell Me 'Bout It” singer called out the nursing staff who cared for Bear while he was in the ICU, while including a photo of Violet meeting her younger brother in the video. “Please share yours [stories] of adoption in the comments if you have,” she added in her caption. “And please welcome our wonderful baby boy into this wonderful world xxxx.”
Stone became a first-time mom in 2021, when she and her then-boyfriend welcomed Violet via C-section. In November 2022, they welcomed Shackleton in what the musician described at the time as a “frightening birth”, just under a year ago. Stone revealed himself that she and DaLuz were married in 2023.
