Bebe Rexha “can’t explain” her musical chemistry with David Guetta.
The singer-songwriter first teamed up with the French DJ for the 2015 track Hey Mama and has since collaborated with him on the songs Say My Name, Family, I’m Good (Blue) and One in a Million.
Discussing their “very special” music connection, Bebe told People, “David and I, musically, just have this chemistry that I can’t explain. It’s just fun working with him because he’s so talented, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot.”
The Meant To Be hitmaker confirmed that they have discussed working together again in the future and have considered making a full-length collaborative project together.
“I constantly hit him up and send him ideas,” she said of David. “He called me his annoying little sister, and I was like, ‘Don’t get it twisted. You’re my annoying little brother. This is a two-way street, honey.'”
The 34-year-old added, “He and I have built such an incredible connection. I think we’ll pretty much be working with each other and in each other’s lives for as long as we can.”
Bebe and David were jointly nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Recording for I’m Good (Blue) at the 2023 Grammys. They are currently up for the inaugural Best Pop Dance Recording award at the 2024 ceremony for One in a Million.
