A new dance floor in Brazil is taking flight under the repurposed wings of a decommissioned Boeing 727-200 aircraft.
You won't need to stow your tray or keep your seat upright at JETSET, which is currently being developed in the coastal city of Camboriú in southern Brazil. The project is in full development under the supervision of Surreal Park creator Renato Ranier, according to a media alert shared with EDM.com.
The initiative began with the protection of the Boeing 727-200, which is currently in the process of being dismantled at the Afonso Pena International Airport in Curitiba. From there, the plane will undergo an ambitious refurbishment and “chrome plating” process before its installation at Surreal Park.
An experienced production team is also working on a special “road clearance” plan to address the complex logistics of transporting the plane from Curitiba to Camboriú. With a length of 46.68 meters and a maximum speed of approximately 450 kilometers per hour, the plane could carry up to 189 passengers.
Dubai-based architecture studio 8B will ultimately execute the nightclub concept on the Surreal Park grounds. The wings of the plane will provide an elevated viewing point of the area and the club portion will feature a platform, runway, bar and custom lighting.

Don't believe it, JETSET isn't the only nightlife venue soon to open inside a Boeing plane. AREA15 of Las Vegas is currently expanding its campus to include a 118,000-square-foot hotel and nightclub, a 9,000-square-foot plaza, and a decommissioned Boeing 747 that will be repurposed for events.
The first event at JETSET will be in the summer of 2024, but its organizers have not announced a date or schedule as of this writing.
