AC/DC, the legendary multi-million-selling band, has thrilled millions of fans by announcing the 'POWER UP' European tour today. The 'POWER UP' tour, named after their latest studio album, which peaked at No. 1 in 21 countries, will see the band play 21 dates across Germany, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium and France. and Ireland this summer.
'POWER UP' will be the band's first European tour in eight years and will see them perform in some of the biggest stadiums on the continent. Tickets for the shows will be available from 10 a.m. on February 16, 2024.
AC/DC played their first show on December 31, 1973 at Checkers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. They are one of the most influential rock bands in history, with more than 200 million albums sold worldwide. The band's 'Back In Black' LP is the 'best-selling album of any band' and the 'third best-selling album of any artist' with global sales of 50 million and counting. AC/DC was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® in 2003 and the Music Victoria Awards Hall of Fame in their native Australia. The band continues to sell out stadiums on multiple continents, selling millions of albums annually and generating billions of streams.
To honor their 50-year reign as the world's greatest rock and roll band, AC/DC – Angus Young on lead guitar, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug and a new bassist to bring along Cliff Williams' torch, is back to play before his legion of dedicated fans, which grows with each passing year.
