“Don’t be so fucking ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?” singer tells concertgoer at Pride Month-opening gig Saturday
June 1 marked the beginning of Pride Month, which apparently irked one concertgoer Saturday at Adele’s residency show in Las Vegas.
In a brief video from the concert posted by Popbase, Adele clapped back at the fan who reportedly and audibly yelled “Pride sucks” between songs.
“Did you come to my fucking show to say pride sucks? Are you fucking stupid?” Adele admonished the concertgoer. “Don’t be so fucking ridiculous. If you have nothing nice to say, shut up, alright?”
The singer then coolly segued back into the concert’s regular programming.
As TMZ notes, in June 2016, Adele dedicated her concert in Antwerp, Belgium to the victims of the then-recent Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, Florida, a terror attack aimed at an LGBTQ+ club that left 49 people dead. “The LGBTQA community, they’re like my soulmates since I was really young, so I’m really moved by it,” Adele told the audience that night.
Adele’s weekend Las Vegas residency will continue halfway through Pride Month, with the current run concluding on June 15, which was originally supposed to be the final date of her Weekends With Adele residency. Instead, following a stretch of shows in Munich this summer, Adele will return to Vegas in late-October for five more weekends, with the residency coming to an end (for now) on November 22 and 23.
