Alanis Morissette was a guest The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Friday, December 15, where the self-proclaimed Wham! The superfan performed her own performance on “Last Christmas.”
Morissette recorded a cover of “Last Christmas” for her new holiday-themed EP of the same name, which also includes “Little Drummer Boy,” “What Child Is This” and “Happy Xmas (War Is Over). Wham! tribute to They fall undershe stayed true to George Michael's 1984 original, with her distinctive mezzo-soprano perfectly suited to its melody.
Morissette also participated in an interview with Fallon, where the pair discussed her upcoming “The Triple Moon Tour” with Joan Jett, induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with a speech from Olivia Rodrigo and a questionable impression for Morissette that Fallon played SNL many years ago.
