Icon, pioneer and member of the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame: Alice Cooper has achieved a lot in his long career. But most importantly, Alice Cooper remains one of the biggest rock shows on the planet.
Returning to the UK for the first time since 2022 in October, Alice and her award-winning band are heading to stadiums in Glasgow (14), Birmingham (16), Manchester (17), Leeds (18) and, for the first time. in many years, more up-close and face-to-face shows at London's Eventim Apollo (20+21).
The Too Close for Comfort Tour brings fans closer than ever to Alice with giant video screens that combine live action with pre-recorded scenes to delve deeper into Alice's world.
Expect a spectacle: snakes, guillotines, monsters and more, wreaking havoc on the stage every night. Classics like “Under My Wheels”, “I'm Eighteen”, “Schools Out”, “Poison”, “Billion Dollar Babies” and “No More Mr Nice Guy” are staples and there are surprises every night, effortlessly drawn. from one of the greatest catalogs of rock and roll.
Fresh off the success of her latest album 'Road', a concept album about the thrills and joys of touring, Alice is back, accompanied as always by her long-standing live band consisting of Ryan Roxie (guitar), Chuck Garric (bass), Tommy Henrikson (guitar), Glen Sobel (drums) and Nita Strauss (guitar).
“For 'Road,' I wanted the band to be involved in creating all the songs.” says Alice. “I only see these guys when we're on tour. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but with new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off and this is my way of doing it.”
Primal Scream, one of Britain's best-loved rock bands, will join Alice on tour to every city except London. The Glasgow band have been on an odyssey, from jangly guitar pop to bold rock n roll, incorporating acid house and psychedelia into unique records and live experiences. Frontman Bobby Gillespie cites Alice's stunning appearances on Top of the Pops in the 1970s as a formative influence.
In London, legendary Sex Pistols guitarist and songwriter Glen Matlock will be Alice's special guest. And on all dates, acclaimed emerging punks The Meffs will support.
