Álvaro Díaz shares where he was when Flip flops dropped, because he loves vinyls and not only in the Behind the Photo he presents Bulletin board and Walmart.
Alvaro Diaz:
I'm Álvaro Díaz and this is Behind the Photos with me Bulletin board. This was in Kyoto earlier this year – a week before the fall Flip flops and minutes before you taste the best ramen in the world. That's what I remember most about this photo, ramen in Kyoto. Top!
It's about Alvarito and Ace Ventura, Milkman's dogs at Milkman's studio. Comet and Rocket. There you go! Comet and Rocket, they are almost mine. Shout Milkman! Dog lover, Albarito!
Favorite photo of my photographer Waiv doing E-Mode. That was when we got the vinyls Flip flops. My dream since I was little was to be able to have vinyl records like the ones you used to buy. My dad is a vinyl enthusiast. We were leaving basketball games to buy salsa vinyls and stuff. Having my own vinyl is like a crazy experience, that's what it is, that's what it represents. If you don't have it, go buy it! This is one of my favorite places in the world. This is in Medellin. This is with my brother Manuel Lara making “SAYONARA”. Actually, I think it was “Ramona Flowers” that we were working on at the time. “Ramona Flowers” was the first song to be released from the album, so this is a very important picture.
