Anitta, Danai Gurira, Hugh Jackman, Dakota Johnson and Michelle Yeoh are the co-chairs for this year's Global Citizen NOW, a two-day leadership summit scheduled for May 1-2 at Spring Studios in New York City.
The Brazilian star, who will address the summit, is set to join political, corporate and philanthropic leaders for the program focused on leading action for a world where “everyone's basic needs are met”, the advocacy group announced on Thursday (28 Of March ).
In addition, the 2024 edition of the Global Citizen NOW summit will magnify ideas for “urgent action” to achieve access for all people to food, energy, healthcare and education. support a flourishing planet by pushing for increased climate finance and fossil fuel phasing out; and drive towards a future where every person and country can prosper through economic growth, access to finance, innovation and creation jobs, according to a press release.
Also announced as participants in the event was Mokgweetsi Masisi, president of Botswana. Gaston Browne, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda. Philip Davis, Prime Minister of the Bahamas; and Janja Lula da Silva, First Lady of Brazil.
