Back in September, we published a list of DJs who can't miss playing at the $2.3 billion Vegas Sphere. It looks like one of them, Anyma, will soon be at the top.
The superstar DJ and producer, who also co-founded the beloved Afterlife brand, took to social media today to share a sneak peek of a performance at Sphere on December 31, 2024. In it, he stares down at a humanoid robot while standing in a barren desert with a structure resembling the colossal Sphere in the distance.
The title of the post is “THE END OF GENESYS,” a reference to Anyma’s label and tour of the same name. Her impressive debut album, which was released in March, also bears that name.
Anyma and his Afterlife imprint have become the electronic music community's touchstone for melodic techno. His brooding, cerebral approach to the genre has effectively reinvented it for today's generation, transforming it into a dazzling and often chilling live music experience. Anyma's esteemed visual director, Alessio De Vecchi, was appointed EDM.comThe best visual artist of 2023.
It's important to note that Sphere has not formally confirmed the show at the time of writing. A representative for the venue's owner, Sphere Entertainment, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. EDM.comRequest for comments from.
