Anyma served as creative visual director for The Weeknd's one-night-only concert in São Paulo, the DJ revealed today.
The special show took place on September 7 at the MorumBIS Stadium ahead of the release of The Weeknd's highly anticipated sixth album, Hurry up tomorrowHe announced that it would include “never-before-seen production,” but did not reveal the involvement of Anyma, whose own performances have become a touchstone for immersive visual production within the electronic dance music community.
Multidisciplinary artist Alexander Wessely was the concert's co-creative director and Alessio De Vecchi, Anyma's lead visual artist, was its artistic director. De Vecchi was appointed in 2023 EDM.comThe best visual artist.

Naturally, rumors have been running high following Anyma's revelation. Considering The Weeknd's open appreciation for electronic music and his previous collaborations with Gesaffelstein, Daft Punk, Swedish House Mafia, Calvin Harris, and other influential producers, it's fair to wonder whether or not he's working with the melodic techno superstar for Hurry up tomorrow.
